A lightning strike twice in 'The Biggest Loser'

Why to Bob and Jillian freak out every time there is a double elimination on "The Biggest Loser"? They know this is a reality show, right?

Tracey With the black sheep off the road, the remaining eight players will gather around solidarity brings. But first! Alison Sweeney has some shocking news. Two people - That's right - two people go home. The player with the lowest percentage of weight loss is below the dreaded red line, while the following two fall below the yellow line.

* Pause for dramatic sound effects

Emerging challenge this week is bull shit. Before beginning, we all know that Allen will win. Amanda and Liz sat down for medical reasons, so your competition is, basically, Rebecca. Players must jump and grab some tennis balls and run Velcro'd a cube. Challenge Pretty boring, actually. Especially since they all assume that Allen is in the bag. Earn ... and Rebecca comes second. Allen, which gives an advantage of pounds for this week's weigh-in.

Then all the world is divided into the strategy. Apparently, the dynamics of the game has changed now that we are not more Black vs. Blue. Now is the young vs. old. The young'uns: Daniel, Shay, Rebecca, and Amanda. Seniors: Liz, Danny, Rudy, and Allen. Needless to say, Bob Harper and Jillian Michaels, are not too thrilled with the news. Jill takes on itself to do what is needed to keep the ranch Shay because she is not ready to go home. Bob does not like playing God with the lives of everyone, but goes along with the machinations of Jill.

Can Circus Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey remains legally label themselves as the greatest show on earth? Because I've just seen the program in Medieval Times. It's pretty impressive. Anyway, the challenge this week includes typical accessories like the circus, trampolines, rings, and fat people. Everyone has to go through the giant ring of their opponents. One hundred points for that person to leave, and the last person standing wins immunity. It's so on.

Once again, young vs. old. Attack of the children and Liz Allen, while the Geezers set eyes on Amanda and Daniel. Over time reduces to join Danny and Rudy against Shay. Shay, meanwhile, monsters of FEP out because I thought that Rudy had an alliance with her. Not so, he says. Then she and Danny each other out and sails through Rudy with immunity. For some reason, this does not suit me. Even the confetti I can take on board with this.

Everyone is going crazy in the gym this week. With the Red Line coming sky like a storm cloud, contestants have become gym rats. The young'uns even go so far as to sneak in their bedrooms Spin. Clever. But do not discard the old people. Although Liz's knee is the leg and Danny needs a hip replacement, which seem to be putting in their fair share of hard work.

danielwright_thebiggestloser_290.jpgTime for weighing. This is where all hell breaks out. First, if it were not for Allen and extra pound of immunity from Rudy, who had been screwed. For others, the numbers this week were huge. Shay starts at the weigh-in with a loss of 17 pounds, which set a new record of 100 kilos lost by a woman on the ranch. But get this - which is still below the yellow line! Liz gets 12 pounds, Rebecca gets 10, Danny gets 17. What is happening here?! Amanda only lost 5, so it is below the yellow line with Shay. It comes down to Daniel, who only lost 5 pounds too. Good grief. That means that Daniel is going home. Right now. Then it's time to vote between Amanda and Shay. Obviously, Shay is the biggest threat so it is sent home. That's probably the right decision.

Once Daniel is home, he reunites with his former teammate David. It is still morbidly obese and have no plans to lose weight short term. After all, he has better things to do. (Like what? "Unless you are performing open heart surgery in a group of orphans in a Third World country, there is nothing better to do.) However, we do not receive an update for Shay. What gives, NBC?! Is this a clever excuse for me to see "The Jay Leno Show," which has as its guest tonight? Because it worked. Fr.

* Sigh * vi ... and lost another 50 pounds. Good for her.
